College Tech Prep Multiple Options

College Tech Prep is a course of study with required math, science, English, and career/technical course sequences that provides every student with the opportunity for a focused course of study related to his/her career goal. College Tech Prep completers can meet college course requirements and have the multiple options of enrolling in a four-year college or university, a community college, or entering adult apprenticeship programs. This course of study prepares students to enter technical careers after completing two or four years of college studies.

College Tech PrepCourse of Study

 English - 4 credits
 Science - 3 credits
 Math - 4 credits 
Alg. I, Geometry, Alg. II, and an Advanced Math*
or
Alg. I, Tech Math I and II, and an additional math
 Social Studies - 3 credits
PE/Health - 1 credit
Career/Technical - 4 credits in a Technical course sequence with one being a second level completer course

*Students planning to pursue a four year degree should select this math sequence , and a minimum of two credits in the same second language.

 CTP completers  may receive advanced placement credit and may qualify for two years free tuition at Guilford Technical 

Community College through the GTCC CTP Tuition Assistance Scholarship
