Construction Technology Curriculum
Highlights
Students in Construction
Technology are building houses from the blueprint up, applying, the skills
and theory learned in the classroom. Computers are used for estimating
projects and the calculating materials needed.
Career opportunities are abundant for
qualified graduates. Carpenters, estimators, contractors, inspectors,
engineers and architects are just a few. Entry level jobs can lead to
satisfying careers as experience is gained.
Students may enter the field out of high
school but for the more skilled, higher paying positions, a two or
four-year degree is required. Salary ranges are based on skill, education,
and experience and can easily reach $70,000.00 a year for contractors and
engineers.
