The following procedures are designed to serve as guides for the consideration and implementation of appropriate approved policies.

When a proposed policy has been presented to the Board for first reading, a copy of the draft will be posted to the web site and principals and all other district email account holders will be advised of its posting.

Immediately upon receipt of a proposed policy following its first reading, the principal or building supervisor shall place a copy of the proposed policy in a designated place for review by the staff and the public.

The Board encourages and expects employees, parents, community experts and other interested parties to express suggestions about proposed policies to the Administration before policies are considered for adoption. Similarly, ideas regarding needed policies or procedures may be forwarded to the Superintendent or his designee.

Copies of adopted policies shall be distributed in like manner and publicly posted for 30 days in addition to being recorded on the district web site.
