Scheduling meetings and writing documents – we all do a lot of this at GCS! Here are two ways to help!
District Calendar of Events
We’ve all experienced it – we schedule a meeting only to find out that there are other meetings already scheduled that conflict. Here’s the solution - the district event calendar is a new tool to assist departments in planning meetings and events. Departments enter activities occurring in their areas on the district calendar. Other departments can access the calendar to see these events. If we all use it, we can avoid those annoying conflicts in scheduling when events impact more than one department.
The district calendar is located on the employee section of the GCS Web site http//www.gcsnc.net/employees.htm. Click on the district calendar link on the right side of the page under employee resources. When the calendar page comes up, you can click on the ‘log in’ button and enter your username and password, and your department calendar will come up.
For more information about the calendar or to schedule additional training, please contact Rick Cobb, director of professional development at 378-8811.
