Karen Boyd (L) and Susan Phillips (R), Induction and Success Coaches and Sue Renn, Induction and Success Coordinator, gather at the monthly GCS Coffee House for teacher mentors.  The dedicated mentors are trained to work with new teachers to increase teacher retention.

Darryl Hunt speaks to students and faculty at Ferndale Middle to kick off the B.U.S. (Building Unbalanced Systems) Boycott.  Hunt’s powerful message encourages students to choose a pencil (education) and not a pen (penitentiary). Hunt was wrongfully convicted of murder and incarcerated for almost 20 years. He was exonerated and released from prison in 2004.

Congratulations to Sara Kenney (R), who is the recipient of the 2007 Project Fit America All Star Teacher of the Year award.
