Program Administration

Library media programs support students and teachers with current collections and up-to-date catalogs. Media specialists work in collaboration with the Media & Technology Advisory Committee to identify the needs of the collection, develop short and long range plans, advocate for funds and create budgets to meet collection needs. They ensure that the collection is current and in good physical condition through weeding, inventory and the purchase of carefully selected resources. They work to maintain a catalog that accurately represents the collection and ensures accurate reporting. Media specialists may find the links below helpful in administering the program.
