Frequently Asked Questions

How can I produce a brochure for my school, department or program?

  1. Contact our production team - Lillian Govus or Jennifer Landes in the District Relations Department.

  2. Do you have anything written (commonly referred to as “copy”) for that brochure? If so, share that with them. Otherwise, our team will even work to help write the copy and ensure that it adheres to the standards of the GCS Communications Guide.

  3. Do you have specific photos you’d like to use? We’re happy to take a look at photos; however, many are not of the resolution or layout needed for printing. In addition, all students shown must have photo consent forms on file. We have professional photographs taken of GCS students that we have access to if submitted photos cannot be used.

  4. Decide how many brochures you’d like produced. Often, printers will give price breaks at certain amounts, so our team will work with the printers to get the best bang for your buck.

  5. Our team will work with a graphic designer to create a publication for your school, department or program that keeps with “the look” that GCS has developed while creating an individual, stylized handout that effectively communicates your school, program or department’s attributes. Our publications follow guidelines defined in the GCS Style Guide.

  6. Your input is welcome and appreciated during the production process. Before any publication is printed, your approval will be gained.

  7. All purchasing is the responsibility of the department, program or school submitting the request. The production team will forward all estimates to you, and it will be your responsibility to open the purchase order and complete billing.

  8. Upon completion, your publication will also be made available on our Web site.

  9. Our publications have received awards from the National School Public Relations Association for their design and content. Producing through our team means you will get a top-quality publication.
